A native Texan, I was born and raised in the small town of Bandera. After graduating from Bandera High in 2013 I moved to Tyler, Texas, for a year to attend Tyler Junior College. While at TJC I wrote for the Apache Pow Wow, the school's newspaper. I then transferred to Texas State University in the fall of 2014 to pursue a Bachelor of Science from the school of Mass Communication and Journalism. I graduated in December 2017 with a B.S. in Public Relations and a minor in Media Studies and Business Administration. Since graduating I have been working with HelloNabr, a company out of Austin, TX focused on building relationships within a community by hosting neighborhood events. I designed a new structure for our 2019 and 2020 programming to help initiate engagement between nabrs and boost the efficiency of events. While I enjoyed my time with HelloNabr I am looking forward to finding a position in Dallas that allows me to apply the skills I have learned, along with challenging me to expand my knowledge.
